What a wonderful book! I was very moved by the story and I think it is a meaningful book for all ages. It is written for young adults but it is certainly a valuable book for adults as well. I was touched by the feelings expressed by the main character Andrea who was so lacking in self-esteem. It was truly an insight into the teenage years when there is so much pressure to be part of the “goody” crowd. Andrea’s character provides a very real picture of what it is like to be anonymous in high school life and how and why a teen may actually choose to become anonymous. This is an important book for anyone who wants an inside view of a teenage girl’s views on life. The story is definitely enhanced by the characters who come into Andrea’s life and help her to become aware of the true person she is. I couldn’t put this book down once I started. I am truly impressed with this upstate New York author and hope to see many more great novels from her.

  • I also found the teen and intergenerational relationships interesting in this novel: The teen character Andrea relationship with her mother and then her mother’s boyfriend. Andrea’s connections to a range of well drawn teen characters. Andrea’s companionship with Honora, an ailing adult.
