As a teacher, I chose this book as my summer reading novel for the students in my high school. I am looking forward to hearing their comments, summaries, opinions, and reflections of what they read. It was an easy read…took me about an hour. Sat and started reading it and couldn’t put it down. Heartwarming and touching, sad yet beautiful. As a mother of four, I fell in love with the little boy as if I could picture him as an addition to my family. I would recommend this verse novel to all readers, young and old alike…quite an inspiring story!
